You can bet that last one is reground/reshaped from a Wedge FBU such as the 2nd pic!

I think if it was indeed reground to the point of grinding-off the outer stabilizer, the remaining one would not appear as this one does. The blade would be way deeper than this, IMO......

Soooo, tell me if I am wrong, but in Wade and Butcher FBU's, the ones with the blade etch have always seemed to me to be the originally Hollow-Ground, double-stabilized ones with no FBU on the tang. ...

Just a way to sell something to the uneducated. Nothing un-observable about it, if you do your homework.
Every time it happens, Many more are educated. Sad part is many nice old ones are ruined...

It has been my experience that ones with the blade etch are original hollows and those with no blade etch, yet with 'Barber's use' on the tang are (were) wedges, reground or not.
