I have a few well-used ones from an old Japanese barber. Hand-rubbed for a career, I reckon. A 'Tokyo' and a 'Russian'. Obviously from Kanayama back in the day....

Man! Some of the old ones can be buttery, for certain.
Never know till you try them. Still, while they feel good, some slick ones do a fine job as well.
