Interesting. I had flattened mine, finishing with a very worn DMT. Using only water, it was very smooth to hone on. I did not feel any grittiness.
Now slurried up, it felt like sand was on it!

Yes! It seemed VERY aggressive with the slurry! I will shave test the 2 I finished with no slurry and report. I wonder if this might lie somewhere between 8000 and 12000? It is a pain to figure out...
