Planted ;some more Shitake today and working of some Lions mane but the tub cracked when drill holes so we will se if it turns out.

Any thoughts? I know onions are hardy but should I hold them inside until the soil gets to 45'F or so?...

I was more thinking of it washing away in the water of the snow melt.

A little to early to add things of top of the snow. It won't be there after it melts.
