I think that I am going to rake some leaves over...

The snow has melted for now and I uncovered one end of the patch to see what is going on.
Unless some Walla Walla expert chimes in I think I will let the maple leaves cover them for the winter.

My first thought is that the straw wouldn't hurt...
My first thought is that the straw wouldn't hurt but then I looked at mine and after the snow is melting away they are having a hard time sticking through the maple leaves.

Made a "log cabin" from the logs and waiting for the mushrooms to sprout. Looking at the ends of the logs you can see the white mycellium growing in the sap wood.
