    I have seen one that the "spoon" was at one end...

    I have seen one that the "spoon" was at one end and the other end had a ivory toothpick !!!! I wonder if the FDA would approve one of these today? Very Best, John

    From the pic, I can't tell if the blade is sharp. At the turn on the 20'th century and before, well groomed gentlemen carried such a tool that was used to remove ear wax. It was called a "ear spoon"....
