Finally got round to some hand sanding and MicroMesh cloths on this blade. I went down to grit 240 and still couldn”t get to the deeper oxidation points. Didn’t feel like going any lower and worked...

I stand corrected.
The blades are nearly equal size.
Only the tang of the Rader is larger. :)

I've seen Ewald as well, though only in references to yet earlier ages.

That's because the tang itself is also large. That changes the perception of the whole blade.
I'll see if I can post a pic with my 14 next to it.
