i want to thank you and all who have gave comments on the strop 827, I will be back soon with questions on another strop coming my way soon.

i am sure it is possible to get too much oil on strop---say this be the case--what can you clean with--saddle soap or ?

the ridges appear to be from pressing the leather to the rubber looking back which has ridges----i know the neatsfoot oil makes a fast smooth draw on the new strop i have---i put a little on ill...

as you can see i am asking questions that i am sure are somewhere on this forum---just want to get my strops right with the right material on them and the prper use--i have 4 new razors that i want...

can you use a spray on a strop just to clean up or sharpen alittle before honing without hurting anything----i guess like just a fine freshing up?

did the leather on yours look like little ridges? the one i have has a rubber looking back. again i have the dovo conditioner and dovo red and black but not yellow---advice once again--thanks

i have dovo red and dovo black, not yellow--------what would they do and their use my friend.

the leather was just riggy if that is a word compared to and i appreciate you help---i do not have fromms but do have some dovo conditioner and neatsfoot oil.

so i can put some (small amount of dovo raxor strop leather conditioner on the strop and or neatfoot oil and rub in, correct?

what did you do to break in--it is not a smooth strop for sure--neatsfoot oil----what did you do with the linen--paste or? thanks
