I am assuming that the hone would have to take material off to some point above the pit, I am just wondering if that would be a lot or a little. I guess that I am asking if it would say turn a 5/8...

Would the size of the blade be affected that much, or just up to the top of that pit? I know without having it in hand it might be a bit hard to know, but the blade is...

How will this affect shavability? Do you think that it will have to be honed out?
