Actually, I like to see the differences in finishing stones on certain razors. I might shave 4 months on a Zulu finish , then step down to a 4K on the same razor only to finish that same razor on...

Get a Pelican slightly larger than your stone,,, then go to Wal Mart in the pillow section & there are large sheets of white foam squares in a packet, cheap & more than you will use. Cut it to fit...

Good thing about the Pelicans, if it breaks they will probably give you a new one. If you line the Pelican the right way, if you drop it, then your chances are the stone will be O.K.

You never know when you might have to set a bevel. :shrug:
