I've now had the time to do some more tests, I've used the Nowegian Slate on a handfull of different razors of different grinds.

I've used it in several different ways: From Shapton Pro 8K to NS...

I think we all suffered from a bad case of brain farting in the exitement of finding a possibly decent Norwegian hone, or else we would have gotten the whole bucket, or at least made sure to get some...

Test one:

For the first test I used my go-to test razor, a 13/16 Gotta.
I chose to first see what this slate with a already shave ready edge, the razor was previously finished on a vintage...

I still feel kinda bad for snagging the SSA though :)

Okay, I've lapped mine, and a few things comes to mind immediately:

- It's quite soft, lapping went very fast

- The color and grain is very equal to my Dragons Tongue.

- It builds up slurry...

Damn your impatient :p I haven't even lapped mine yet :)

It's interesting what you've experienced so far, I'll lap mine later tonight, and hopefully test a couple razors on it tonight or tomorrow....
