I've noticed the speed is a critical point with these, on most of the razors I've honed til now it took less than 20 strokes before it started to undercut the water.

I'm still getting to know them, trying to figure out what works best. They're quite different from the Naniwas I've used before.

Like I mentioned in an earlier post it might just be the exessive ink that's come off and that they won't get any worse than they are now.

Do you submerge them in water when you use them? If not...

That's exactly what I'm afraid could happen.

I don't know how much it will wear off, I just noticed that the stamps have gotten quite a bit lighter in the ~month I've had them, might just be the excessive ink that's worn off.
