Using that much two part epoxy will never work,you need casting resin.JMO

If you need to fill it, use plaster of paris,Is Cheap, sets up like concreat in an hr and will be a perfect base for the knot I think

Well after two days in red food coloring,took on a slight pink tinge, not much.
Will look into hair dye next.

On the old Boar brushes,am not sure it was a dye process as only the outer fibers are coated to mimic badger.
Perhaps some sort of airbrush type paint process?

No Prob, as we speak I am soaking a trashed badger Knot in red food coloring,just for grins:)

Silvertip badger hair is hollow,that why it holds more water and retains heat.
Boar bristle is solid,Will badger dye better?? No clue

A boar knot will not dye Properly as it is a solid pce of material,a bristle,send me a High mountain white In badger,badger is hollow and will absorb the dye,I can make it any color you want:)
