I think there is a fine line with scales,to thick and using spacers intead of wedges makes razors look awful (IMO).
copy the orig scales exactally as the maker intended.

With strong natural materials,Ivory,solid bone such as camel bone,horn,I shoot for .090.
Have done some restores on Old Ivory scales that were .050.thats thin,almost translucent.
