    The next step is to punch the holes,two in the front.three on the handle end.For me I find it the vexing part of the project as all needs to be in perfect alignment.

    Next you need to glue it.Have settled on using water activated polyurethane (gorilla glue) makes a super strong joint,do not use to much as it expands alot.
    I leave it clamped for about 6 hrs....

    You could lace them but a strong glued joint is far better looking IMO and not as bulky.
    First I skiv the leather on both...
