You are right,nothing special with that,i have it.

I am fan of Badgers too but you must taste the Muhle Black Fibre feeling
It's not so expensive and differs from other Synthetics.

I have 5 Synthetic brushes,they are good especially if you make preparation lather
After the first cleaning they need 2 shaving-days and they are ready
They don't expand as a Boar-Badger brush...
