    Thanks again ,so i take it from what i read that...

    Thanks again ,so i take it from what i read that the newer stones have the slate bases,so this may be an older hone it looks like at some point in its life it was longer one of the ends looks like...

    Thanks guys i did think it maybe belgian blue...

    Thanks guys i did think it maybe belgian blue combo but didnt want to use it befor i was sure the slurry on the blue side comes up a browny pinky colour.So i will be giving it a go shortly.

    Hi guys just scored this stone off the bay its 150mm /40mm just wanted to know if the base is slate or not thanks for any info.
