My Dovo strop is looking a bit tatty lately, so maybe I'll get a new leather one and use paste on the canvas side of the Dovo. I haven't tried pastes and things yet. Coloured newsprint? Why not...

Thanks for the advice. I do realise the Swedish steel is possibly more difficult to hone that other steel. The shave this morning wasn't too bad, but not perfect. I think maybe another 20 to 30...
