That sounds like an awesome preshave balm. I make mine similar to that but I also use some pure coconut oil, it helps thicken it up a bit and is great for the skin.

Way to reverse engineer! I love doing that stuff, I used castor oil, almond oil, olive oil and grapeseed oil in mine. I found the grapeseed oil really improved the feeling of my skin after the shave...
