My conclusion was that this stone was a yellow...
My conclusion was that this stone was a yellow lake and not a Vosgienne, but nevertheless after using it for many months now, its a nice finisher.

planes, rulers a few stones etc. Anyway that stone was so full of dirt grime... -

There is so much variable that i dont know...
There is so much variable that i dont know anymore, i do know for a fact that my stone, whatever is it named, works for me,
i get a better finish then the PHIG, almost mirror finish, and a smooth... -

In talking with AJ an ebay seller from the UK who sells LLyn Melynllyn stones im pretty sure that what my stone is,
he was saying some of them can go up to 15k so it would make sense that its finer... -

So once again i tested another razor did 25 x...
So once again i tested another razor did 25 x strokes on PHIG and looked under 30x loupe then did 25 x strokes on new hone,
and once again the new hone removed the PHIG scratch patern... -

By touch, feeling the 8k, then Phig then new hone, the phig and new hone are very very close and the 8k is definately coarser.

Well i was almost sold that my stone is a yellow lake but i must say that im possitive that its much finer then 8 k without a doubt.
its finer then my Phig wich is suppose to be 12 k, so its back to... -
