The author points out not to use ArmorAll as it may actually damage the rubber. I have used ERV from OneGrand for 22 years with no problem on pipe stem, tires or scales.

Colgate is a good polish.

I am convinced the sunlight is a major factor in hazing hard rubber. Had a pipe displayed for many years, never smoked and the sulfur almost made the stem useless.
