You're right, a brush scuttle does take up more space but on the other hand, the DB brush scuttle can also work for face lathering (warm water underneath only), which is nice.

That's a pretty clever design. I use a Dirty Bird scuttle with a separate brush scuttle. Pretty cool to have them combined.

I've not seen a design like that. It appears as though he's formed a cup alongside the scuttle rather than just a water port. Is the idea to use that cup to soak your brush? I assume the lid is...
