I just got home from Lee Valley. I got a plate glass lapping plate 8.5"x14"x1/4" as well as the DMT 4"x10" 325.
I think I should be alright for honing gear for a while :hmmm: -

So maybe I should just pick up a piece of glass, rather than using the ceramic tile? The key here is, I'm going to lap it, just to put my mind at ease, but on what surface?
