Just to be clear, I didn't do the joining on the MOP, this was done many years ago as it came off of a broken hand fan.

I'd selected some (nearly) one-piece MOP for this travel-sized razor. The pearl is solid for the whole scale with about 1 cm of another piece joined at the pivot side, so not quite solid scales, but...
