Well, happy to report after 4 days in the ziplock it emerged with odor whatsoever. Hopefully that means for now, no cell rot.

Doing the ziplock test. Will open it Friday and see if there's any funky odor.

Agreed. I'm in no rush to put it back in service just yet. Ill bag her up today and check on it Friday or Saturday. In the mean time I'll find some sandpaper.

Do you think the scales have cell rot or is it the lighting? Was hoping it was rode hard and out away wet lol

I fixed the toe, that's the first pic in the post.

I chipped the toe using a little too much pressure hand sanding. Lesson learned :(

That sounds good, I'll give it a go. I always get wary using sandpaper of any grit. Haven't had much luck in the past getting it back to a nice shine.
