So I finally got around to finishing this guy up. Got it sanded nicely and polished all bright and shiny and new looking, and re pinned.

I had it honed up to 8k and felt really good about it...

I sandblasted all the rust off it yesterday. I'll start sanding it this weekend. It looks like it'll be a winner. I love the smile it's got.

You know, the blade and tang shape is remarkably similar to my Shumate tungsten. I'll have to compare them side by side, just to see.


It does have a nice little smile.

No Sheffield stamp, but the point does really ring when you pick it with a thumbnail.

I'll be interested to get it restored and honed.

Maybe I'll just be super stubborn and not hone it anyway. Every time I use it, it'll just pull the hairs out of my face instead.
