    I tink the angle the photo was taken makes it look a bit odd but I don't think it has been modified. Here is mine for comparison...

    Just checked and I have a W&B with the identical...

    Just checked and I have a W&B with the identical blade in a set of black scales with white wedge. Can't be sure if the scales are original or not but it is a fine shaver.
