Whatever, the linked article just says Dovo uses very good steel nothing more. No mention of either Sheffield silver steel or Swedish steel being used by Dovo. Too far OT now. Outta here.

It is news to me that Swedish steel is considered inferior now. There are any number of vintage Solingen SRs made with it.

It could be that the edges on the Dovo and TI are not quite there as far as shave ready goes. That could explain the juddery feel while shaving.
