It is going to go through German Customs no matter who or how it is sent. If you send it make sure to mark on the customs declaration that it is a shave brush for repair and return.

If you were able to lather new Williams you are doing well. I have 2 Shavemac knotted brushes and have not had a problem with them shedding. You really don't have to use a lot of force and mash hard...

It could be that the Shavemac brush is different...
It could be that the Shavemac brush is different from the one you used before and you need to modify your technique in loading and lathering up.
