Yea, it works and so does Cremo, probably better as it is intended to work without a brush. It would be a last resort for me if I did not have a brush. I just hate when a product is meant to lather...

You can almost bet that any shave soap/cream that says you can use a brush or your fingers will not build a traditional lather with a brush. Not a big deal if you don't want to use a brush though....
