I could easily be wrong about the razor being German made. I was going by blade style and a hunch. Yes, it could be just marked with the retailer.

I believe your razor was made in Germany for the French market. Does it say "Allemagne" anywhere on the blade or box? If it was German made you might find who the brand name belonged to if you look...

Now that is a razor. I have a smaller 4/8 and really wish it had a 6/8 blade as it is such a good shaver. Don't see many SSA razors never mind the 8/8 sized ones over here.
