Never any problem with rust after going on 4 months of cold water shaving and rinsing the blade in cold water too. I dry the blade and between the scales with TP and let air dry too for a few hours...

Yea, well into my second week of cold water face lather shaving with no plans to go back to using hot water or a scuttle. It works and I like the simplicity of it.
