Instead of a hacksaw I'd use a coping saw to cut...
Instead of a hacksaw I'd use a coping saw to cut out the shape. To get it down to the proper thickness I'd clamp it on edge and use the hacksaw to cut it to the proper size. Then grease your elbow...
