What materials did you shave with? Any pre-shave oil? Aftershave lotion, or the use of a Alum block?

When I was just starting out on my technique, the Alum block helped get rid of the razor burn....

I actually did laugh out loud. Good thing nobody was near.

I used to use a Fusion razor. The 5 bladed monster. I started to use a DE not too long ago and the improvement was huge. I didn't like using the Fusion because of cost, and also if I shaved every day...
