so I have a awesome boker with what looks like to me the beginning of cell rot. can the proses be stopped or slowed down? and if so how? i put MAAS on it once every month.

I know that older celluloid scales put off a fume that is hazards to razors but is there a certain condition that makes it worse? and what would determine what would start cell rot?
