I've heard that diamond spray leaves a harsher scratch pattern, and this I can believe since diamonds are harsh abrasives. Also the 0.25 and 0.5 micron is just a difference in abrasive size. 0.5...

Thats what I used for a while and it worked great for me (0.5 diamond on felt)! After my honing improved I find that I don't use it as much. I still keep it around though.
