Ants = contamination. Their mandibles will wreck...
Ants = contamination. Their mandibles will wreck your edge (they measure several thousand microns across).
This is a reason I espouse the vacuum stropping methods. -

Some pollens are better than others. You really want something that leaves a nice mellow edge. Here in the Midwest the pollen leaves a harsh toothy edge.

I hate to doubt what I have no experience or data...
