i started attacking the blade, with the cheapo diamond cut "stones" i attacked it with the 180 and probably did to much but it had...

well i wanted to see if there was an actual edge under all this,... took it to a cheap stone to see and man its not looking good

not sure if i have caused the wav in the blade or if it was already...

so the fast safe easy way to remove rotted scales from the blade ? Hammer ? lol

well thats good news,... if thats the case ill bust off the scales and take a shot at sanding the duck to a shine myself

Son of a gun, i really liked these scales to,... cell rot is new to me, so your saying that the scales are causing the heavy corrosion on the blade in that area ?, i thought it was just put away wet...

Thanks, It may be a bit much for me though,... I may just leave it be for the time being and let someone else do it for me lol

So I got this ugly little duckling, thought it couldnt hurt and hit the surface rust with some 0000 steel wool,.. even on the scales, but i believe it will need more work then I think i should...
