I love the Irish Wolfhound. Like many of the giant breeds they have a short lifespan, average is about 5 years. Would break my heart if I had one.

Sorry to hear about Travis and Buddy not liking fireworks, most animals don't. A trick I learned is to put a fireworks display on YouTube on the TV to get animals used to hearing the loud bangs....

So sorry for your loss Nelson, my heartfelt condolences.

Unfortunately dog meat is a lot closer to home than you think, there is illegal dog meat trade in the US and UK, in Canada it's not actually illegal.
