Appreciate the feedback mate. I think that part of the issue may be a traditional style scale with an untraditional blade, and I get where you're coming from.
I'll finish it out and see how it looks...

I haven't read it all but I do have a tapered wedge. I'm liking the bow it gives the scales, but how it translates to functionality of the razor remains to be seen. Lots to learn from that thread....

Did an etch today but accidentally touched the blade so it oxidized/tarnished straight away so I'll have to re-polish and do it again. Gave me a good look though. I got a very even San-Mai line on...

Bluesman7, I did move the grind up higher and happy with the results so far. I could've gone for a deeper hollow but...

Bluesman7 was kind enough to provide some advice. I ground the razor with a 5" wheel and then went back into the hollow with a 2" wheel.
I need to tidy it up and through hand sanding will refine...

Hi Bruno, I'm not using pin stock but a pair of bolts and a barrel so the hole is larger than usual. I will use pin stock and pein the ends when I do a traditional style razor.
