I think you are right on the money brooksie967... I remember hearing that WD40 was a product of NASA research.

So basically if I go with light to no pressure tape is not "really" necessary..

Will WD40 actually HURT the hones?
I guess now that I wrote it.. it is WATER DISPLACEMENT 40... so I would think that the "Wet" part of the wetstone might not...

I have learned that at least. LITTLE to NO pressure makes for a BETTER edge!

I am just starting to hone so 1 bevel is hard enough for me to achieve properly... :p

Well I have done like 4-5 razors so I am pretty good! :rofl2:

I have honed a couple of razors and have gotten a good edge and had some DFS with some of my finds.
Just didn't want to SCREW up what I have done already! LOL
