Just did a 7/8ths 1/4 hollow with a slight warp.
By the time I'd gotten to the Koma I had nailed that rolling x, one handed and not too slow. I normally hone fast so I'm sure over time ill get...

Another mistake I now know I've been making is doing a rolling x toe first.
I'll have a session tonight and see what I can do.

I suppose the thing that gets to me is when the tip wont touch the hone.
I can lift the heel end and the very edge still wont hit the hone.
The only way to get that part of the edge on the hone is...

That's what I was wondering, how it would look. Its a toss up between ascetics and ease of honing.

I think all my blades have a slight warp here n their but I suppose that's what makes honing interesting.

I suppose if I tried to get rid of the warp it would end up looking a rite mess.
I think I need to practice doing a rolling x with no pressure whilst moving slurry :thinking:

I just did that table top test and the blade rocks , it is warped.
How do you correct a warp?

That could be part of the problem and using tape as I do the spine end can never get corrected.

When I swap hands it is to work the opposite side of the blade . The reason I do that is because I don't feel comfortable flipping the blade in the same hand I started with...
