On this i just left it in Neatsfoot for a month and then a light hand sanding and buffed. The second red horn blade will probably never get restored is my honest assessment , i have too many blades....

I think it is all done with chemicals that cause reactions which end up red..
I have used a few methods to dye horn black but i want a permanent black, the kind of thing i could buff afterwards. -
