No, you didn't, you forgot or were time poor or something, anyway it was nice and smooth when I got it :) so no complaints, but it does go to show how long a blade can go between honings.

Probably 4-6 months in was when I really did...
Probably 4-6 months in was when I really did anything honewise for myself, and that was/ is just refreshing on a finishing stone. I would recommend at least having a fine stone to refresh your edge...
