That was my first modern one too, and it shaves great. Just shaved very well with it today.

I started with a R. Aust 5/8 and still like it a lot. The 5/8 will be fine. Then if you want a 6/8 you can watch the Classifieds here and pick up a 6/8 classic, perhaps for less.
