Apologies re: accuracy on my earlier post...my brush that was so stinky it was unusable was boar, not badger. I apologize to the forum members and to all badgers whom I might have offended.

Some badger brushes smell until all the "badger scent" is washed out of them. I have a new one that doesn't smell and I have one from a drugstore (cheap) that I can't use (after at least 20 tries)...
