I believe there are a few sellers, in order to get good pics, "enhance" the etchings with graphite or their own method to make the etch "pop".

Looks like they were blackened with some graphite IIRC, a common way to "enhance" an etching...after a shave or two....gone.

Have a boxed set somewhat like those downstairs, unique looking blades, Joseph Rodgers in ivory scales...:)
