Those were the scales that came on the razor....original coffin box too! Took me awhile to find it, but figured it was a must have for that razor....what are you thinking of doing with the scales?

Beautiful razor, with the famous Toledo steel, which I understand is akin to the famed Damascus and Tamahagane steels, stunning piece.

Great question...I've got a few #14's from Henckels, to Palmera's and Filli's and not one has the coveted bellied grind....

I have to say it in all good humour....:)

This is the one of three Palmera's I have, it's an odd size, think...

Beautiful - what is the top left, and three middle razors brand, especially the middle one of the left (with the diamond shaped tang stamp)....very nice!

Interesting - I have three Palmera's, and have never been able to actually see the bellied hollow, but they are certainly a fine razor, one has the Ferdinand Herberz and Son's mark on the tang stamp....

Excellent - seeing that beauty decided me on my razor for today's shave - The Wolfpack restored Henckels #14!

That razor is brand new, NOS...man that's a sweet looking straight, obviously a full 8/8, gather it's superbly full hollow, doesn't have a mythical bellied grind as well by chance?

Of the three Palmera #14's I have, not one is a bellied hollow ground razor, if the pic attached is considered bellied. Mine each have an almost "microtome" type shape to the blade - strange.

Now having shaved with four different #14's - Palmera, Filarmonica, Dorko and Henckels, I simply can't tell really any difference between each of the razors. If one was to do a, "blind taste test" so...

LOL - yes, and the great amassing of #14 razors is done! Time to sit tight for awhile, and just look for that elusive W&B Ottoman...;)
