Yes - when I send a razor out, or have a new one that's not going to be seen to for awhile, it's gets a coat of Tuf-Glide. Other than that, proper drying and stored in it's own silicone treated razor...

As a chemist told me, "Like dissolves like".

Meaning, any carbon based oil / lubricant is not good for your razor's.

Mineral oils and lubricants are the way to go - Tuf-Glide and such products.
