I'm not sure if it's blue or black - kinda has some greenish tint to it... if it's a backing why would the slurry stone have it too???

Just got mu new coticule to play with - there is a tan and a black side to both the slurry stone and the hone - I know the tan side is the coticule - question is, is there any use for the other side...
